National Night Out 2005Posted on: 2008-05-08THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT ATTENDED THE NATIONAL NIGHT OUT NEIGHBORHOOD POTLUCK PICNIC AUGUST 2ND, 2005! It was held at the Diamond Ridge Park and approximately 65-75 people attended! There was a lot of great food, games and prizes for the kids, and information on crime prevention. It was a great way to meet more neighbors. Everyone enjoyed the visit from the local firemen. The kids loved going into the firetruck! National Night Out 2006Posted on: 2008-05-08Thank you to everyone that attended the National Night Out 'Desserts in the Park' on Tuesday, August 1st, 2006. We had about 45 people attend and we had some great desserts, door prizes, crime prevention tips, and it was a great way to meet some of the neighbors! - $10 annual fee for subdivisions 15-18 (retention ponds fee)Posted on: 2008-05-08Yes, this is a valid charge and needs to be paid immediately to avoid a late charge. A letter went to 171 people in 4 of Diamond Ridge subdivisions: 15-18. It seems that the city is charging these residents on their electric bills and through this home owner's assoc. Dewitz Builders is being held responsible for maintaining the retention ponds, therefore, creating the home owner's assoc and charging each of the 171 residents $10/year. They have to mow and clean the area around the ponds and every 15 yrs or so, will need to clean the ponds. The $10 is due upon receipt. The city does credit for commercial ponds, but not residential ponds. This information about the $10 homeowner assoc. charge is recorded on everyone's abstracts.
